This. Is. South Africa!
Social Media was buzzing after a chaotic scene at the BRICS conference in South Africa when a man thought to be Xi Jinping‘s translator was body-slammed by security staff as he rushed to the Chinese President’s side.
As China’s president entered the main area of the venue, an official lurched forward in an apparent attempt to catch up with his boss, but the security keeping the world leaders safe was having none of it as they manhandled the poor guy, before closing the doors.
President Xi Jinping paused for a moment to see what the fuss was about (Where’d he go?) but continued onwards after seeing only a closed door instead of his aide.
That’ll teach the translator to be late.

The footage went viral online as the BRICS countries – a bloc that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – met for their annual summit.
They agreed the admission of six new members, with Argentina, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates set to join the anti-Western alliance from January 1.
