Local seems to be getting lekkerder as M-Net dropped a trailer for their upcoming crime thriller Devil’s Peak.

Adapted from Deon Meyer’s best-selling novel of the same name, the new series promises to take viewers on a rollercoaster ride through the seedy world of Cape Town’s criminal underbelly.

For this instalment, Detective Benny Griessel will be played by the very talented Hilton Pelser. He is known for his roles in the Starz series Dangerous Liaisons and The Kissing Booth trilogy, as well as the films Moffie and Glasshouse.

Joining the stellar cast is Sisanda Henna, Tarryn Wyngaard, Shamilla Miller, and Masasa Mbangeni.

The five-episode series is a collaboration between Lookout Point, Expanded Media Productions, MultiChoice Studios, and BBC Studios Distribution. With BBC Studios handling the international distribution of Devil’s Peak, peeps outside of Mzansi will also get another glimpse into the chaotic world of Benny Griessel.

Devil’s Peak will come to our screens ‘soon’ according to M-Net, so keep an eye on listings. In the meantime, check out the trailer and see if you can recognise your neighbourhood.

Hopefully, they will get onto Deon Meyer’s Koors next – that book is screaming for a local mini-series.
