Disgraced fashion mogul and alleged paedophile, Peter Nygard, launched a $15 million (R275 Million) smear campaign against his billionaire neighbour in the Bahamas over a drive-way dispute and everything about this entire fiasco is weird.
There was also nothing petty about the fight and including TV and radio ads, websites, doctored videos, and even paying protesters to demonstrate in the Bahamas and accuse neighbour Louis Bacon of being a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
The details have been revealed following a damages lawsuit brought against the pedo accused weirdo, Nygard. Hedge fund manager Bacon has now been awarded a record $203 Million (R3.7 Billion) in damages, but considering that Nygard is in jail on charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement, Bacon is going to have a hard time getting his money.
Like we said, it’s all weird, all the time. So where to begin?
Nygard is a Canadian-born playboy and the founder of women’s fashion company Nygard International. The wild-haired creepo is currently being held for a host of crimes that include sex trafficking, nine complaints of sexual assault, as well as a class action suit by more than 70 women in the US.The complainants allege they were coerced into having sex with Nygard through financial means or physical force after being brought to his Bahams palace dubbed “the Eighth Wonder of the World”. The property includes a fake Mayan temple, sculptures of smoke-breathing snakes, and a disco with a stripper pole.
Dubbed by friends as “Disneyland on steroids,” teenage girls and young women engaged in “karaoke and dancing and massaging,” as well as being forced to take horseback rides. Even Jessica Alba found herself on the pedo’s island at some point and recalls 14-year-old girls in the Jacuzzi “taking off their clothes.”
His personal assistants provided authorities with “invite lists” of more than 700 women and young girls. All were invited to his famous pamper parties, which we have reported on before.
Nygard himself was obsessed with remaining young and consumed almost 50 supplements daily as well as injecting himself with stem cells and testosterone to avoid ageing.

So ja, this dude had some serious issues and way too much money.
Despite falling out of the ‘weirdo tree’ and hitting every branch coming down, Nygard still managed to launch a massive smear campaign against Bacon over a relatively minor drive-way issue.
The attacks included branding Bacon as an insider trader by convincing a local paper to doctor a Financial Times headline linking the hedge guy to insider trading.
Other smears implicated the hedge fund manager in arson, after a destructive 2009 fire at Nygard’s lair at the Lyford Cay gated community, and even in murder, following the death in 2010 of Bacon’s house manager
In the end, Bacon had to spend $53 million (R975 Million) on legal and investigative work to counteract Nygard’s campaign, hence the fat lawsuit settlement.
The New York judge ruled Nygard, 81, spread “malicious falsehoods” about Bacon by hiring more than two dozen people for the smear campaign. Nygard’s business has however filed for bankruptcy, so it’s doubtful whether he will be getting any of his money back.
Nygard is luckily still locked up in Canada, and here’s hoping he stays locked up.
What a creepo.
