A pub landlord is claiming that a ghost is haunting his watering hole and playing tricks on his patrons, and he has video footage to prove it.
While you can reasonably expect to find spirits in a pub, Andy Gadsby believes the spirit of a dead drinker is harassing his clientele by knocking over glasses and even making some explode.
Tall tales of pub spirits are a dime a dozen in the UK, but the landlord of Coniston Tavern in Nuneaton has revealed CCTV footage showing the menacing phantom acting like a mean-tempered drunk, per LadBible:
On Monday (24/4) lunchtime CCTV shows a workman in a hi-vis jacket chatting with two pals at a table. Suddenly the half-drunk pint explodes, showering the hapless punter in lager and shards of glass.
Gadsby believes the ghost belongs to a regular boozehound called Dave who used to live in a flat above the bar. He and his wife have been running the pub for seven months, and the landlord said that he has been told before that the premises is haunted.
“Apparently a tenant called Dave lived in the flat above the pub and one night he drank a bottle of brandy and had a heart attack and died. Maybe his spirit is around the pub and he’s desperately trying to pinch people’s drinks.”
Have a look at the below footage and decide for yourself.

Haunted pubs are nothing new, and if you have ever frequented some of these old establishments in the UK, you will have heard stories of resident ghosts getting up to all kinds of mischief. Like the beer glass toppling ghosts below.
Quite why the ghosts have a problem with lager is a mystery, but perhaps they are trying to quench a thirst in the afterlife that could never be done in their real lives. Either way, when a ghost starts messing with your customers, who are you gonna call?
The cleaner. Because ghosts seem to like making a mess.
