You might be overwhelmed right now, but at least you didn’t slide down a narrow ice hole in the French Alps while skiing.
Professional mountaineer Les Powtos was skiing somewhere in the backcountry of the French Alps when he suddenly found himself slipping down a huge crevasse (the technical term for an icy hole in the snow).
A POV camera of sorts captured the whole scene on camera, and it might just be the most riveting thing you see today (unless you consider the sight of someone (or you) dodging a Checkers Sixty60 bike by a mere hair on the pavement a thrilling moment – which it is, we’re with you).
Brace yourself and don’t forget to breathe after:

Don’t worry, Powtos is okay. I mean he posted the ordeal on the ‘Gram, so he clearly got out alive. Somehow.
Powder confirmed that Powtos was totally chillos, explaining in the comments how he escaped the huge crevasse. Here’s a French-to-English translation:
“he quietly put the skis on the bag, ice ax crampons and a small piece of rope from his friends”
I guess that explanation will have to do. Fans and worried spectators are begging the dude to post the video of him getting out of the crevice but he doesn’t seem to have obliged yet.
When and if he does so, you might want to be following him. His other videos will do the job of biding the time.
