Charles Spencer didn’t attend his daughter Lady Amelia Spencer’s wedding in Cape Town for some reason.

Instead of her father – the younger brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and the maternal uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry – walking her down the aisle at her lush Cape Town wedding, she was accompanied by her younger brother Samuel.

The 9th Earl Spencer did not go to his eldest daughter Lady Kitty’s wedding to retail millionaire Michael Lewis in July 2021, prompting rumours that all was not well between the father-of-seven and his daughters from his first marriage, noted Daily Mail.

Lady Amelia, paying tribute to her late aunt Princess Diana by wearing a custom Atelier Versace wedding dress, tied the knot with Greg Mallett at the exquisite Quoin Rock Manor House in the Stellenbosch Winelands.

Is that a cryptic dig at the media or a simple day in the life of an Earl?

Despite frequently posting on social media this week throughout the celebrations, Charles has yet to make public comment about his daughter’s wedding.

The newlywed couple didn’t seem to be phased though, enjoying the celebrations in style:
