I cruised into Johannesburg with The Muse last weekend, to attend the AXE Excite Cloud 9 party, held at The Venue in Melrose Arch. I could be forgiven for thinking I had woken up inside an eagles nest of sorts, due to the abundance of white feathers from the wings worn by the angels. And angels they were!

The party was off the proverbial chain, with Flash Republic going mental on the stage and party-goers beeping their interactive Facebook bracelets against anything and everything. It was bloody impressive, I must say. If you grabbed a drink at the bar, it would update your Facebook status – BOOM, just like that! Go into the “Man Cave” – BOOM, status update. Incredible!

The party was hosted by AXE Excite and GQ Magazine and I managed to get hold of some pics from the night. Which is a good thing, because let’s face it, it was a bit of a blur! One thing is for sure, they did well with naming Bonang Matheba as the GQ AXE 2012 Calendar ‘Arch Angel’.
