Looks like billionaire Wolfgang Porsche skipped the “in sickness and in health” part of the promise during a marriage ceremony.

The Porsche executive has begun divorce proceedings with his wife, Claudia Porsche, citing her ‘dementia-like illness’ as the reason he wants out of the marriage.

The couple has been together since 2007 and married in 2019, racking up an estimated £18 billion in family assets.

The 79-year-old said that the illness has led to changes in the personality of his 74-year-old wife, and he cannot take it anymore, per Metro:

Claudia Porsche, a grandmother and former adviser to the German government, has been unable to move independently for months and has reportedly been living with her daughter for almost two years.

Four housekeepers are employed to make sure they have everything they need around the clock. Her mental awareness is said to have undergone a rapid decline during this period, which sources close to the family claim has made living together impossible for the couple.

Meanwhile, German media report that in recent months Wolfgang has been getting closer to his friend of 25 years, 59-year-old Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen.

No love is lost here.

Wolfgang is a shareholder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, as well as of Porsche AG, and has fathered four children, two from his previous marriage to screenplay writer Susanne Bresser and two from Claudia.
