December is here and the jol is coming alive as we speak.
Sexy international tourists are walking the streets, the vaalies are getting their tan on at the beach, and influencers in the wild are working for that perfect mountain-side sundowner shot.
The partying is overdue, quite frankly and Saffas are keen to reawaken and reemerge on the events scene.
Most fittingly, there is a locally-made song to express that exact feeling and it simply has to be added to your summer playlist ASAP to get you extra pumped for the holiday season.
GoodLuck, South Africa’s most electrifying electronic band, has just released a new summer smasher, ‘I Feel Alive’:
Described as “a dance floor-filling smash that whips you away on a hedonistic rush of pushing hi-hats, driving keyboards, and a catchy-dreamy pop vocal”, it’s the perfect antidote to all those social distancing days spent lazing around at home.
GoodLuck’s main gal, Jules Harding, said that “after months of keeping ourselves away from other people and in a desperate need to connect, these lyrics just poured out of me and into a very different world from the one we are living in now.”
“After things started opening up again, we started performing this song in our sets. We were performing it live at a show in The Netherlands, and the crowd were jumping so high that they literally broke the dancefloor! That’s when we knew it was time to release the song, the world was finally ready!”
Indeed, we are so ready to feel alive again.
While you can listen to the track on all major streaming sites and music platforms now, the best way to test the dance floor-filling smash hit is, well, on the dance floor:
No better opportunity has presented itself than Get Lucky Summer, GoodLuck’s annual summer residency and concert series coming up for the summer holidays in Cape Town, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna, and Hermanus.
We’ve got all the dates and details of those shows here.
Now go ahead and feel alive (AKA add the song to your summer playlist or party itinerary now).
