If you’re a 10 out of 10, you don’t need a nine to five.
Apparently.
A young TikTok user is catching major internet heat after brazenly stating that she’s “too pretty to work”.
Lucy Welcher, who has more than 80 000 followers and more than 10 million likes on TikTok, made the bold declaration in a recent video that has since been deleted.
However, nothing is forever gone on the internet, so watch her reject the rigours of gainful employment via YouTube:
The American social media influencer can mostly be seen punting her various shopping hauls and Starbucks iced coffees, amidst complaining about how much money she spends and how much she hates working.
I mean, yeah, relatable.
But while she may be ready to give up the onslaught of daily work, her TikTok peers reckon she’s being a spoiled brat, per The New York Post:
“Someone’s entitled,” another blasted. “I hope you get humbled girl, you need it. Looks have to nothing to do with working and it’s sad you have that mentality.”
Meanwhile, a third bluntly stated: “How about trying to be an adult instead of a privileged princess expecting life to be handed to you?”
The words “entitled” and “lazy” cropped up a few times. There were also hundreds of supporters who agreed that work just wears you down.
Welcher subsequently deleted the video and said it was merely a “joke”. She pointed out that she frequently shares videos of herself getting ready for her job where she recently received a promotion:
@luluhasfun Rip to the white bodysuit maybe I shouldn’t do a full face of makeup in it😍 #makeupforwork #grwm #workmakeup #viral ♬ Good Days – SZA
She works but she hates working. Nothing groundbreaking here.
