Jimmy Kimmel is back with that Halloween candy prank that makes kids cry.
The late-night host actually put a hold on the controversial trickery for the past two years, allowing kids to take a break as they had already had it hard enough during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But parents are back to telling their kids that they ate all their Halloween candy and filming their reactions on Kimmel’s instruction.
As usual, notes Mashable, “there were tears, tantrums, and a lot of big feelings” as well as kids completely dissociating while others seemed completely unbothered.
One savvy little dude even commented that his dad “has done this every single year” while empathising with a little girl bawling her eyes out next to him.
Honestly, the practical joke is a fine display of the full spectrum of human emotion:
It’s that one little blue-shirted guy’s shaking, balled fists and wildly scrunched face, for me.
It’s just not Halloween until a bunch of kids cry over candy.
