Burning Man 2022 has come and gone, minds have been blown, and the last vestiges of dust have likely been washed from all crevices.

There was a massive dust storm that swept through the Black Rock Desert on the final Saturday so revellers have an excuse.

It usually takes a few weeks for the best post-Burn videos to come out and San Francisco filmmaker Jesse Chandler’s effort deserves at least one viewing.

He sent his drone high above the playa to capture a stunning view of the lights and sights of Burning Man 2022.

Chandler titled his time-lapse ‘Above the Dust’, states LS:

While getting ready for Burning Man 2022, among all the other preparations, it occurred to me that I should apply for a drone permit. After filling out the application I kinda forgot about it concentrated on other things. When I did finally get the news that I had permission fly a drone at the event, it changed my plans for the week completely. Now I had a mission!

Even though my week was cut short by some last minute difficulties, I still managed to get some cool footage.

That’s a bit of an understatement because the footage is epic:

Nice to see the mutant vehicles were out in full force.

Another highlight was when roughly a thousand drones took to the sky above Burning Man 2022 to create this cutting-edge artwork:

The light show was repeated each night by Amsterdam-based Studio Drift.
