Some places on planet Earth genuinely feel like they are a wonderland or a space filled with wonder.
This artist had a dream to not only live in his ideal home but to decorate it with his unique seal of approval.
Now when most people move into a new home they often get new furniture, revamp the kitchen and maybe add a splash of colour to the walls.
But Sam Cox AKA Mr Doodle took that idea to a monumental place.
The renowned artist spent nearly two years working on his wonderful home, going through the painstaking process of painting the mansion stark white before covering each and every inch of his home in his doodles:

When I say every inch, I mean no spot or piece of furniture was left un-doodled. From the bedroom, bathroom, television, and curtains right down to the door knobs:
According to Smithsonian Magazine, after painting the mansion’s interior and exterior white, Cox first put pen to wall during the COVID-19 pandemic:

The restrictions and lockdowns left the artist with much more time at home than he was used to, which “helped accidentally,” per NBC News:
Success, however, took its toll in 2020, when Cox said he was hospitalized for six weeks owing to stress brought on by the administrative side of his work.
“I went through a wave of hallucinations and delusions from thinking that I was speaking to God to being hired to doodle all over Donald Trump’s wall,” Cox wrote on his Facebook page shortly afterward.
It is safe to say that Mr Doodle definitely enters a flow state when he is creating:
He said that plenty of other street and graffiti artists had also influenced him along the way, “as well as cartoons and video games that I played as a kid.
“None of it’s ever sketched or anything like that because I find that when I add a sketch or pencil out something, it just kills the flow of the organic nature of a doodle,” he said
It’s astounding just how his home has become such a marvellous monochromatic artwork since that moment of rock bottom:
Sam’s Ukrainian-born wife, who goes by Mrs Doodle, seems to enjoy living in a doodle-filled paradise. The pair collaborate on projects from time to time, where she is in charge of adding vibrance to his work:

Mr Doodle made sure to give each room a theme and created characters that would complement each space. On one hand, the kitchen has a host of lively characters. On the other, the bedroom has a number of drowsy doodles.

It’s truly special for someone to realise a dream and live in world of their own making.
If Keith Haring were alive to see this artist’s incredible feat I’m sure the artistic wizard would be proud if not a little envious he didn’t beat Mr Doodle to it.
