Leo Prinsloo and his colleague, Lloyd Mtombeni, became overnight heroes last May when they prevented a potential cash-in-transit heist.
Although Prinsloo attracted much of the limelight in the days and weeks that followed, he did praise Mtombeni for remaining calm under pressure in what was his first week on the job.
There was always the chance he was going to pop up in an advert somewhere and it was The Courier Guy that stepped up to the plate.
The first ad starring Prinsloo proved popular in August and a second one has since been released:
I think they missed a trick by not featuring Mtombeni. They could have made for a good double act.
Nobody’s using the SA Post Office any longer – spare yourself the suffering – so courier services have become increasingly vital.
However, most don’t allow you to purchase goods from anywhere in the world and have them delivered to your door here in South Africa. For that, you need Postbox Courier, which gives you a shipping address in the US, UK, and Hong Kong.
So, if you’re buying products that don’t ship to our neck of the woods, or you don’t want to deal with the customs mess once it arrives on our shores, then just give the relevant overseas address, which Postbox Courier gives you for free.
As soon as it is delivered there (often the same day you order, or the following day), Postbox Courier will grab it and bring it to you in South Africa in three to five working days.
No PKs required, Mr Prinsloo.
Back to the light-hearted stuff before we go too far down that road and the company’s most recent ad:
For his next assignment, let’s hear that guy pronounce Gqeberha.
It really is the great leveller.
