For the second year running, The Kfm Best of the Cape Awards recognises the region’s finest across a wide range of 30 categories.
This year, it’s a mix of new and old as familiar favourites from last year’s inaugural awards mix with new entries.
On Monday, the top five finalists in each category were announced and now public voting begins.
You have until Wednesday, August 3 to cast your vote. The winners will be announced on Kfm 94.5 from 6AM on Friday, August 12.
We’re not at all surprised to see some 2OV long-time faves cracking a nod. Cape Town’s number one pizza, Butler’s, is among the finalists in the ‘Best Takeaway Spot’ category.
Your pizza arrives in style, piping hot, and tasty AF – what else can you ask for?

We also happened to notice that Malachite Fynbos Gin – yes, the one with the famous green bottle – cracked a spot in the final five in the ‘Best Local Craft Gin’ category.
The colour is inspired by the malachite sunbird, which also appears on the bottle. The sunbird feeds on and pollinates many of the species that make up the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest yet most diverse of the world’s six floral kingdoms.

Finally, having won top spot last year, RSAWEB is back to defend its title in the ‘Best Internet Service Provider’ category.

RSAWEB was born in 2001 out of its founders’ frustration with the lack of quality internet services in South Africa, before officially launching in 2003.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength.

A reminder that you can vote until next Wednesday (August 3) with the winners announced on Friday, August 12.
