Ricky Martin has been hit with a restraining order and claims of violence and sexual abuse by his 21-year-old nephew.
Two weeks ago, a judge in Puerto Rico issued a restraining order against the Latin pop icon, after an anonymous complaint was made under Law 54, known as the Domestic Abuse Prevention and Intervention Act.
The order apparently states that Martin and the person who filed the complaint dated for seven months, with the victim feeling increasingly threatened as Martin didn’t take their break-up well and pitched up at the victim’s home at least three times.
Although the alleged victim’s name was not previously disclosed, Martin’s brother, Eric Martin, claimed that the victim is 21-year-old Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, the 50-year-old singer’s nephew, per The New York Post:
When reached by The Post on Friday, Martin’s attorney Marty Singer said, “Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges. Ricky Martin has, of course, never been — and would never be — involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew.”
Singer also said, “The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting. We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts.”
Martin has also publicly denied everything:

Another of Martin’s representatives said that the allegations are “completely false and fabricated”, adding that “we are very confident that when the true facts come out in this matter our client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated”.
Martin has been married to Spanish-born artist Jwan Yosef since 2017.
Scandalously, Martin’s ex-manager, Rebecca Drucker, had taken a $3 million lawsuit out against him for unpaid commissions, but the legal documents did also point to her “protecting” Martin from a “potentially career-ending allegation”, per Deadline.
If these shocking claims are true, the ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer could face five decades in prison under Puerto Rico’s laws for “incest charges”.
