If you haven’t been to Langebaan and dragged your name through the mud at Flamingo’s “nightclub” (their words), you haven’t lived.
Gone are the days when I long to set foot in an actual nightclub but I could be convinced to return to Flamingo’s under the right set of circumstances, provided my picture isn’t stuck behind the bar with a ‘do not serve’ sign.
Why are we here again? Oh yes, we’re talking about the Langebaan property scene. As per usual, if we dabble in property listings on a Friday we go all out.
A quick peruse on Property24 and we found this four-bedroom with views for days on the market in Penguin Place:
The house is uniquely placed to allow very special interactive views of the exclusive area of Sandbaai, as well as the lagoon, yacht club and nature reserve in the distance.
The Residence expands over 3 levels boasting an open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room from the top floor. Off the living room and deck is a separate informal lounge/TV room which can easily be converted back into a bedroom.
The entire living area offers incredible views with stack doors optimizing the indoor/outdoor space.
Naturally, the deck has a built-in braai and the ground-floor entertainment room has space for a pool table and lounge.
Far too few people opt for a table tennis table over a pool table these days. Think outside of the box.
Anyway, rather than ogling loads of photos of the property we can embark on a video tour:
If I had to be picky, and it’s my imaginary R16,99 million I’m spending so I will be, I’d prefer to be right on the water’s edge rather than a row back.
As with most higher-end properties in Langebaan, the garage has enough space for a boat alongside multiple parking spots.
For under the R10 million mark, I’m also fond of this beaut right on the lagoon and this beachfront four-bedroom home.
So many options, so far out of reach.
