On Saturday, the Stormers weathered a first-half barrage from the Bulls to secure the Vodacom United Rugby Championship (URC) title with an 18-13 win.
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but to see two South African sides duking it out in the final and the Stormers overcome their knockout rugby hoodoo was worth celebrating.
I woke up with a headache on Sunday morning and called it quits. The same cannot be said for Stormers loose forward Hacjivah Dayimani, who has been on the tear since the final whistle.
The good times started in the changing room with the customary drink out of the trophy:

Dayimani is extremely opposed to taking off his Stormers kit or winner’s medal and he’s sticking to his guns:

Seriously, the dedication is admiral:

I approve of this message. Also, kids, stay hydrated.
On Sunday, he was spotted in Camps Bay with Stormers forwards coach Rito Hlungwani and kicking guru Gareth Wright:

Dayimani had spoken about keeping his kit on until he met either the Mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis, or President Ramaphosa.
Hill-Lewis was obliging and the two shared a pint (possibly more) in the Cape Town CBD:

I spot what appears to be a glass of water in front of the Stormers man. It could just as easily be a half-pint of tequila.
Along with the posts, Dayimani’s Insta Stories have also given us some insight into his antics:
I hate it when that happens.
Shots? More of them.
Never let a Monday ruin your Sunday. Or a Tuesday ruin your Monday. And so on and so forth…
We just hope Dayimani doesn’t crash back to earth before the Stormers’ open-top bus parade on Friday.
Starting at the Grand Parade at 10:30AM, the team will take the URC trophy on a tour through the CBD.
We back you, Hacjivah – keep the good times coming and drink it all in.
