Britney Spears and her new Bo, Sam Asghari (not pictured above), have officially tied the knot.
But the joyous occasion did not happen without annoying interference.
The new couple were enjoying their small wedding held at her home in Thousand Oaks, California, on Thursday, when one of Britney’s ex-husbands decided it would be the perfect time to check up on her.
Jason Alexander (pictured above) attempted to crash the couple’s nuptials, bizarrely live streaming the whole affair on Instagram.
The 40-year-old, with a history of stalking the pop star, made it to the second story of Britney’s home and even inside her wedding tent before the police took him down, reported Page Six:
In the footage, he spoke with event security, telling them that Spears had invited him to the wedding. After some resistance, Alexander threatened to crash her big day. A physical struggle ensued before his phone froze and cut out.
Behold some of his unhinge antics:
He was immediately handcuffed outside by event security before the police responded to the trespassing call, taking Alexander into custody.
As mentioned in the video, Alexander and Spears – childhood friends – were only married for a total of 55 hours before obtaining an annulment in 2004, per Sky News.
One can only imagine that those brief hours left quite the impression on Alexander.
Since then, the poor ex has tried his best to show support for Britney, especially as she battled through her conservatorship, even showing up at a few #FreeBritney rallies.
But, he has a tendency to take his adoration too far, with an “alarming history of lurking outside homes of the singer’s family”, who think that his behaviour is “incredibly inappropriate and downright weird”
Yikes:
Alexander showed up to Britney’s mother Lynne Spears’ Serenity estate in Kentwood, La., and posted two videos and a photo of the exterior to his private Instagram account.
“Daddy Spears hiding behind gates @britneyspears,” he captioned one post, referencing Britney’s estranged father and former conservator, Jamie Spears, who has been divorced from Lynne, 66, since 2002 and now lives in a motor home close to Serenity.
To really cement his record as a stalker, Alexander was arrested for violating an order of protection and stalking an unidentified woman in December 2021.
He was ordered to serve nearly a year of probation after pleading guilty to the charges.
That marked Alexander’s third arrest in just 13 months, including once when he was caught driving under the influence.
Clearly, he is not doing okay.
As for Britney, this will be her third trip down the aisle (there was also Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons), one that she seems particularly chuffed about though:
