Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, the abdominal muscle infatuated Jersey Shore actor, is suing Abercrombie and Fitch for making and selling t-shirts with phrases like “The Fitchuation” on them. He is also still distressed about the fake press release Abercrombie put out asking him not to wear their clothes anymore.

In August, Abercrombie “asked” “The Situation” and other members of the Jersey Shore cast to stop wearing their clothing. It turned out that this was merely a poorly orchestrated ploy to attempt to boost sales that had been on the decline.

Almost immediately after they did that, they announced that projected profits were going to be lower than expected, resulting in a nine per cent share dip.

Having taken his time about things, “The Situation” has now decided to deal out a blow of his own to Abercrombie and sue them for $4 million in damages, because of two t-shirts they have made, as well as the fact that Abercrombie “significantly profited” from a “false affiliation” after putting out that press release.

One of the shirts has the phrase “The Fitchuation” on it, and a second cynically uses “The Situation’s” catch phrase: “GTL”, for “gym, tanning, laundry.”

It’s not clear whether the Abercrombie marketing department were actually aware that “The Situation” already markets his own “GTL” range.

Bi-losing, Abercrombie shares plummeted 14 per cent yesterday as the retailer announced those deflated profits it had expected.
