Bootylicious Brazilian Playboy model Cris Galera married herself in September last year.
She celebrated the vows (at least I think there were vows) she said to herself in front of her 200 000 plus Instagram followers, admitting that she did the deed as there were no other suitable matches out there.
Hailing from Brazil and now living in London, the 34-year-old put her disappointments with men aside and made space in her heart for herself.
Galera is also a lawyer and thought it was “wonderful” when she found out she could have this kind of wedding, according to Geo News:
At the time of her “wedding,” she had said: “I reached a point where I matured, I realised that I am a strong and determined woman. I was always afraid of being alone, but I realised that I needed to learn to feel good about myself. When that happened, I decided to celebrate it.”
Per W24, Galera mentioned that at the time, “I’m loving myself so much that I can’t feel anything for anyone else.”
That is the most extreme form of self-love I have ever encountered.
Cue the wedding bells, and a dress that “highlight my best features, my breasts”:

However, in an even more bizarre turn of events, a few months later, Galera decided that she was better off as a single woman.
She filed for her own divorce from herself and announced the open to meeting someone else special and partying it up in the process:
“I didn’t divorce myself because I got tired of myself. I like to have a very solid reason and that’s why [the partying].”

The model further said that she does not regret marrying herself and has been quite happy with the decision.
At least her marriage taught her a few lessons:
…”I am a woman openly embracing my power and my sexuality, for all to see. I’ve never been married to a man. I think that, first, you have to get married, and then have a child. I became such an independent woman, such a self-sufficient woman while I was married to myself,” she told the publication.
She is mostly gearing up for the upcoming Carnival in her home country, a wild celebration full of potential suitors.

The annual festival is held for a few days each April, before the start of Easter’s Lent, the 40-day period of fasting, abstinence, and repentance that’s observed by the Roman Catholic Church.
Galera is still open to the prospect of marriage, but it will have to be unconventional and with the right man.
What might the right man look like?
He has to be “beautiful, powerful, charming, fragrant and rich”.
Fragrant?
