The couple from that first date story about the girl shooting the guy (by mistake) when they were enjoying each other’s company at a shooting range should go bake a cake.
That’s because this horrendous first date story takes all the baked goods.
Not that 22-year-old Valerie Rosario deserves a single nice thing after the near-death torture she is accused of putting her date through.
According to The New York Post, Rosario allegedly “lured” an unsuspecting 24-year-old man over to her apartment in the Bronx.
After he arrived, she and a group of others held him hostage and carried out a “sadistic” and “sick” torture scheme for ransom:
The pair had met on Instagram, where Rosario was apparently taken by the lavish lifestyle that her victim flaunted on the platform. The man, in turn, was lured in by the promise of a hook-up with the beauty.
But when he arrived, Rosario wasn’t decked out like she was on social media, but rather in a “ratty Tom and Jerry top” and ready to play a cat and mouse game from hell:
After the booty call turned honeytrap kidnapping escalated into hours of torture, it is alleged that the man was stabbed while on a FaceTime call to his terrified brother where the kidnappers demanded a $100 000 ransom.
Here’s more from the Manhattan prosecutors:
He arrived at around 1 a.m. — and that’s when the twisted torture session began, according to a criminal complaint. Three men barged into the apartment, with one of them pistol-whipping the victim, the court document said.
Rosario and the accomplices then allegedly stripped the victim “placed him in a bathtub, poured flammable substances on him, and burned him with a flame” all over his body, the charging document states.
They also tormented him with a knife, striking him “about the legs, back and body,” according to the court doc.
After hours of this torture, he was apparently moved to a different location where the devastating FaceTime call to his brother occurred.
24 hours later, after police managed to track down one of the alleged accomplices, Javier Vargas, at an address in Queens, the victim was found barely hanging on in the back of the van.
The court ruled that Rosario, described as “a con-woman from the Lower East Side”, per The Daily Mail, will face charges of kidnapping and attempted murder.
While Rosario denies all allegations, her defence attorney Raymond Loving has also asked that she “be released on her own recognizance” since she lives with her mom and brother and has a full-time job at a dentist’s office.
Cool, but that doesn’t mean she is not capable of sadistically honey trapping other men.
The case will be presented before a grand jury today.
Be careful who you fall for, folks.
