Don’t worry, everybody.
Sean Penn is on the case.
The actor and filmmaker is in the country because he’s working on a documentary, according to a Facebook post by Ukraine’s Office of the President.
That same post said he came to Kyiv, the nation’s capital, to “tell the world the truth about Russia’s invasion of our country”.
Penn has been spotted at President Volodymyr Zelensky’s press conferences, reports CNN, and has personally met with Ukraine’s leader.
Side note – I popped past Zelensky’s Instagram account and the former actor and comedian still loves a headshot.
His most recent six posts at the time of writing:

Sean Penn’s involvement reminds me of that time he met with ‘El Chapo’ back in 2016. The man just loves being in the thick of it.

When reached for comment, a representative for Vice Media Group told CNN that the documentary is a “Vice Studios production in association with VICE World News and Endeavor Content” but would not confirm Penn’s involvement in the project.
He was also on the ground in Ukraine in November last year, meeting with military forces, which is when that image right up the top was snapped.
Yesterday, he was in the front row for a press briefing at the Presidential Office in Kyiv:
Shades on indoors and strike a pensive pose:
Look, it’s obviously not a laughing matter.
Putin’s a madman, Ukraine is under siege, and anything that helps bring attention to this tragic invasion is welcome.
