Bob Saget was much, much more than just the dad from Full House.
In fact, in case you didn’t already know, he turned telling rude jokes into an art form and his stand-up was known to be raunchy.
Saget was found dead in his hotel room on January 9. An autopsy revealed that he died from the result of head trauma.
According to a statement released by his family, “he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep”.
Before his untimely death, Saget did take on a rather ‘from left field’ role. Below via Mashable:
[He] is the unexpected star of a newly released rap video from Desiigner. In a video for “Bakin’,” the Full House star plays a chef who is cooking up strips of sizzling bacon in a cliffside mansion’s fancy kitchen.
He’s got a sous chef in porn star Kendra Sutherland, and the video also features Snoop Dogg, Jay Pharaoh, and guest performers Slushii and DJ Whoo Kid.
The music video was released last Friday and contains a number of behind the scenes shots of Saget:
Some outlets have reported it as his ‘final role’. That’s not exactly true, with multiple projects he had worked on prior to his death still to be released.
DJ Whoo Kid chatted with Rolling Stone about how Saget was chosen:
“We needed a chef for the video and I remember thinking, ‘Who the f–k is gonna be the chef who can make it weird?’” the producer said, adding that he also inquired if Willie Nelson could be in the video. However, Nelson was unavailable at the time of filming.
The G-Unit Records man added, “Then immediately I thought ‘Bob Saget!’ Nobody on set believed me when I said he’d come until he actually drove up and rang the bell, like this was a ‘Full House’ episode. When you have rappers pull up for videos, they bring a Maybach, or rent a Lambo, they show off. He shows up and parks his Lexus on the grass and comes in looking like a dad.”
Rather than saying twerk, Saget asked if there would be “booty-shaking”. Knowing that he was married, the rappers made it clear that he would just be cooking bacon.
I think he nailed his job.
