I think I’m a little Tiger King-ed out.
After binging the entire first season in rapid time, I didn’t even finish the second.
Netflix flogged a dead horse there, although Joe Exotic will grab any opportunity to be in the limelight again.
Carole Baskin was not on board for the second season, and I don’t know how she feels about Peacock’s new series.
Joe vs. Carole stars Saturday Night Live alum McKinnon as Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) as Joe Exotic.
More via The Hollywood Reporter:
The project is based on the Wondery podcast Joe Exotic: Tiger King, hosted and reported by Robert Moor, and centers on Baskin, “a big-cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe ‘Exotic’ Schreibvogel is breeding and using his big cats for profit.
She sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and, when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy.”
You know the story.
The trailer dropped yesterday:
You’ll also see the likes of Kyle MacLachlan, Brian Van Holt, Sam Keeley, Nat Wolff, Marlo Kelly, William Fichtner, Dean Winters, and David Wenham.
Who? Exactly.
The eight-part series will debut on Peacock on March 3.
