The Boston Dynamics robodogs drink beer now, I guess.
They went from herding sheep like the good boys that we hope they are to having a gun strapped to them.
Then they started dancing, really well, and now they’re crushing a cold one with the boys.
Does chugging one down, and then burping loudly, mean that these robots are one step closer to assuming the full form of a human companion so that they can take over the world?
Then again, maybe that’s too much pressure and they just want to have fun.
Anyway, the whole reason they’re drinking beer and dancing with the security guys at Boston Dynamics headquarters after hours is so that they can sell beer during the Super Bowl.
Yeah, it’s just a Super Bowl ad ya’ll, calm down.
Spot (you know Spot, the robodog), a crew of Atlas robots (the more ‘normal-looking’ robots), and two human security guards, along with a couple of cans from Boston-based beer company Sam Adam feature in this short ad that will air during the February 13 game, Mashable reported.
Marc Raibert, the founder of Boston Dynamics, makes a brief appearance, too.
Enjoy:
The Super Bowl sees the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los Angeles Rams if that’s something you were wondering.
Also, the ad will be shorted to a 30-second version and will have “fewer office shenanigans, but with a steady supply of beer-fueled robo-dancing”.
Good to know.
Robodogs will be robodogs?
