On Sunday, 65-year-old Bob Saget was found dead in a Florida hotel room.
The cause of death remains unclear, although Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany has told the media that “at this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play”.
It may take up to 10 or 12 weeks to complete the full investigation.
Saget is best known for playing the father on the wholesome 1990s series Full House as well as the rather dorky host of America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Anybody who ever watched his stand-up comedy would know that he really, really loves a dirty joke. This is embodied by his “unexpected and memorable” appearance in Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza’s 2005 documentary The Aristocrats, reports Rolling Stone.
On the surface, it seemed like a stretch to include Saget in the cast since his wholesomeness had made him famous. This did not matter to Bob Saget.
Over the course of seven unbelievably filthy minutes, Saget bests the competition with a sordid tableau even he can’t believe. The story involves diarrhea, pedophilia, fisting, and rounds upon round of singing “Make ‘Em Laugh” while running up walls “like Fred Astaire.”
Transcribing all Saget’s turns of phrase simply does not do his telling of the joke justice. By the time he’s done, he can’t even tell the punchline, which makes it all even funnier.
It’s a far cry from Full House, that’s for sure.
Take it away, Bob:
Look, we did say it was dirty.
