Jeffrey Epstein’s Palm Beach, Florida mansion is at the centre of many of the testimonies being heard during Ghislaine Maxwell’s ongoing trial.
Maxwell is facing eight charges of sex trafficking and other crimes related to procuring underage girls and women for Epstein.
Multiple women have testified about the sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of the pair in Florida. Now a 58-page handbook compiled in 2005 and listing the rules that staff had to adhere to during their employment at the Palm Beach mansion has been revealed in court.
Former housekeeper Juan Alessi testified last week regarding the “very degrading” way staff were treated.
The Daily Mail has some snippets from the handbook:
Remember that you see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing, except to answer a question directed at you.
Unless otherwise instructed, NEVER disclose Mr Epstein’s or Ms Maxwell’s activities or whereabouts to anyone.
You do not expound on the weather or any other subject, unless asked.
Alessi told the court that Maxwell instructed him on how to speak to Epstein, which included never looking him in the eyes but rather “look in another part of the room and answer him”.
The checklist for the master bedroom is also quite something:
Box of tissues on each bedside table (Replace if less than 1/3). Gun placed in beside table drawer.
Two lighted pens on both bedside tables, Jeffrey Epstein large and small notepads on both bedside tables, and a new pair of exfoliating gloves in the shower.
Three large blue towels and one hand towel on the chair for massage.
As we know, these were not ordinary massages.
You can read the full list here but let’s jump over to The New York Post for a summary of other standout rules:
Epstein’s cars were never allowed to have less than three-quarters of a tank of gas, and always had to have at least $100 inside the glove box…
They were instead told to say the likes of “with pleasure” and “You are quite right” — and if criticized, reply, “It was completely my fault; I will make the changes immediately.”
…The book included lengthy lists of groceries and high-end products the couple always expected to have at the ready, including 32 toiletries that Maxwell demanded for her personal bathroom, where toilet paper had to be folded in a “V.”
They expected 26 types of drink — including wine, champagne, beer and spirits — and Epstein’s morning coffee had to include “creamer filled with Half & Half, warmed in the microwave for 25 seconds.”
I wonder if anybody did the creamer for 20 seconds as a small act of rebellion.
Despite being instructed to “see nothing” Alessi recalled seeing two girls whom he believed to be underage at the mansion.
One of those was the witness referred to only as Jane Doe, who has already testified during Maxwell’s ongoing trial.
He said he was instructed to pick Doe up from her home, as well as from school, and bring her to the mansion.
The second girl he believed to be underage is Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most prominent accusers and the woman currently going after Prince Andrew.
One of his tasks involved cleaning Epstein’s massage table, where he said he often saw a large dildo.
