Every December there’s something in the air that smells like “more wine, please”.
This year it might smell a touch stronger, what with the cancelled flights and travel plans ahead of the holidays.
If the lack of getting to and fro isn’t what’s driving your wine lust, then it has to be the idea of arranging various generations of family members around the same table, all with different ideas about how to live life.
Whether that’s a delightful idea or a dreaded one, we all need more wine.

A wine club sounds like the perfect way to handle this, with offers to make the end-of-year gifting and drinking pretty straightforward.
Luckily, there’s one running at our favourite spot in the Franschhoek Winelands.
Members of the Anthonij Rupert Wine Club can enjoy bespoke festive favourites and other perks, alongside exclusive access to Rupert Wine’s 2021 Christmas Catalogue.

At some point in the year, you may find a few of those beauties on offer at discounted rates through the wine club.
Otherwise, there are plenty of other enviable benefits for members to enjoy, including:
All you have to do is register an account here and purchase wine to the value of R1 000 or more.
Go ahead and pick your own purchase, but we would suggest taking a closer look at a special Rupert Wine Celebration Box.
There’s the Catalogue 2021 – L’Ormarins NV Celebration Box going for R1 093:
This box contains the following wines, with each bottle in a giant Christmas cracker:
There’s also the Catalogue 2021 – L’Ormarins Vintage Celebration Box for R1 348, with bottles wrapped in a Christmas cracker:
Buy either of those and you’ve ticked past the R1 000 mark and membership is good to go.
