Meghan Markle is not done with tell-all interviews.
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week for an episode that will air at some point today (US time).
This will be her first big TV interview since the infamous tell-all interview with Oprah in March, where she and Harry accused an unnamed member of the royal family of racism, among other things.
Although, based on the snippet released ahead of the full Ellen interview, it doesn’t look like Meghan came bearing anything as explosive this time.
Rather, the former Suits star reminisced about returning to the Warner Bros. lot where she would often come for her auditions as a young actress.
The Guardian has more:
The show’s Ellentube.com website said: “The activist and co-founder of Archewell will chat with Ellen about growing up and returning to California, as well as her New York Times bestselling children’s book The Bench.”
…In the trailer for the Ellen Show, the duchess, chatted about how she used to drive to the same Warner Brothers site for auditions but that it was “very different” then. She said she would drive her “very, very old” Ford Explorer Sport and the key stopped working in the driver’s side door.

Ellen has always doted on the royal-ish couple, defending them when they were criticised after taking a series of private jets and calling them “the cutest couple, so down to earth”.
Well, Ellen might have to do some more defending because news reporters are already unloading their criticism towards Meghan.
An Australian reporter from the Today show, Amelia Adams, reported on the upcoming interview and took a bit of a swipe at Meghan in the process, The Daily Mail reported:
After the teaser ended, Ms Adams snarkily remarked: “Yeah, she’s just keeping it real there… in a $4 000 Oscar De La Renta blouse.”
“Safe to say she has moved up in the world since those days,” she added.
Today co-host Karl Stefanovic, who is an outspoken critic of Prince Harry and Meghan, chuckled at the barbed remark about the Duchess ‘keeping it real’.
He smirked: “Well done, Amelia, well done. A little sting in the tail there, I like that.”
Apparently, the “sting” also comes from the fact that Meghan has previously claimed she lived rather poorly before, giving an account of “how she had to struggle”.
This, despite the fact that her estranged father put her through private school and took her to an expensive Hollywood restaurant after all her dance classes.
Not sure it matters all that much, anyway. I am all for letting the woman be.
