August 21 is South Africa’s National Shiraz Day, which marks the beginning of Seven Days of Shiraz & Venison.
With that in mind, we found the perfect opportunity to celebrate red wine and tasty meat, and it comes with one of the most delectable sounding pairing menus out there.
Think ostrich tartare, slow-braised venison ravioli, and a pepper-crusted springbok loin, all paired to perfection with wines from one of our favourite wine farms.
Anthonij Rupert Wyne is making the arrangement and preparations, so all you need to do is book and pitch up.
Then eat and enjoy, of course.
It is a known fact that Shiraz, with its bright acidity, bold fruitiness, and spiciness, shares a unique flavour bond with the saltiness and fattiness of South African game meat, creating a unique tasting experience.
So, Anthonij Rupert Wyne’s Terra del Capo Antipasto Bar will have three different Shiraz wines paired with three tapas-sized venison dishes for the occasion.
The menu alongside each wine pairing:
The service is available from August 21 to August 28, with two lunch booking slots on each day (12PM and 1PM), at a cost of R295 per adult.
Those are filling rapidly, so swing past the booking page and get your slot sorted ASAP.
After that, just make sure to arrive with an appetite and let Anthonij Rupert Wyne handle the rest, whilst ensuring all the necessary COVID-19 protocols are in place.
