One of the joys of a four-day week is that before you know it, you look up and the weekend is within sight.

This is why every week should be a four-day workweek, and the studies don’t lie.

We will leave that battle for another day, and turn our attention to a throwback, it being Thursday and all.

For this one, we’re not going way, way back – just 2019, and the stellar work of the team at Dolph TV.

Their ‘A to Z of South African memes’ video really does deserve a second viewing, because some of these are timeless.

Who could forget Nhlanhla Nene’s chair buckling on live telly, or Casper de Vries and his “f*cking parrot”, or Marelize and her rather average cycling skills?

‘Zuma must go’ remains as pertinent as ever.

I reckon any remix of the video would have to feature Cyril Ramaphosa’s face mask snafu, which feels like a lifetime ago, but was actually last April.
