Beyoncé, Bey, Queen B, an icon, a legend, and a change-maker.
It all began with a school talent show and then the pop music group Destiny’s Child, which has since grown into an impressive entertainment empire.
Now, just a month shy of 40, Beyoncé is worth $440 million, according to Forbes’ latest calculation.
We know her as an icon for pop and R&B music, but Beyoncé is a lot more than that.
Her cultural impact has been huge, on stage and off stage, advocating for the advancement of the black community in America, and being an all-around inspiration for everyone, all while taking care of three children.
She’s built an entertainment empire and ranks 73rd on Forbes’ list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women 2021.
Queen B was the first black woman to headline at Coachella, and her performance became the most-streamed Coachella video on YouTube ever.
Homecoming, a live album and Netflix special released in 2019, is about this groundbreaking Coachella performance.
In 2018 alone, she managed to pull in more than $250 million after the On The Run II stadium tour with husband Jay-Z.
In three minutes or so, here’s her rise to the top:
Oh yeah, her husband, Jay-Z?
He’s now a billionaire (real-time net worth $1,4 billion) thanks to a variety of investments in music, art, and liquor.
It might not be too long before Beyoncé joins him on that list.
