During a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to Nashville last Friday, a passenger attempted to break into the cockpit.
He was eventually subdued by cabin crew and passengers, with the plane diverted to New Mexico following the ordeal.
The Boeing 737-900 had 162 passengers and six crew members aboard, and you can bet the man, taken into federal custody once the plane touched down at Albuquerque International Sunport, is going to face the full might of the law.
Passengers filming captured the moment he was subdued, whilst repeatedly saying “stop the plane”:

When you end up hog-tied, you know it’s game over:
From the 20-second mark, you can see the man being hauled off the flight:
This via Reuters:
The airline and law enforcement did not say whether the individual was armed, whether he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs or what may have prompted his outburst…
“Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 386 … who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger as the flight diverted to Albuquerque,” Delta said in a statement…
Last week, a Southwest Airlines flight attendant landed in the hospital after a passenger punched her in the face.
Please, let’s show cabin crew a little more respect.
