The old saying goes that there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Good luck spotting a rainbow in and around the Mother City today (it could happen), but what we know for sure is that there’s a treasure hunt set to start this morning.
Three lucky treasure hunters, who are able to solve the puzzle and find the mystery location, will be sipping on the finest gin Cape Town has to offer.
At 11AM, Malachite Fynbos Gin will release the first image via their social media accounts, with a hidden clue.
Follow them on Instagram here, and Facebook here.
Another clue will then be released at 2PM, and the final clue at 4:30PM.
The bottles of gin are hidden in Cape Town, and the clues will lead you to where the prize is hidden. The first three people to arrive at the location will win a bottle of Malachite Fynbos Gin.
The gin itself is a celebration of the beauty and wonder of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest and most diverse of all the world’s floral kingdoms.
Using only hand-picked, sustainable floral botanicals, the infused fynbos is in perfect harmony with the classic gin botanicals, with subtle juniper flavours mingling with hints of elderflower and chamomile, spring blooms, and delicate spice.
To finish, there’s a fruity touch of lingering lemon rind.
One more time – here’s how the treasure hunt will work:
The first three people to arrive at the location will each win a bottle of Malachite Fynbos Gin.
Simple enough, with a tasty payoff at the end.
Is this gin-drinking weather?
I think the question you should be asking is when isn’t it gin drinking weather?
