Three people walk onto a beach.
The man proposes to his girlfriend, and the third person is supposed to capture the whole thing on camera.
But she falls, and falls, and falls again.
She had one job…
eNCA shared this video yesterday, which has since gone viral, of a wedding proposal where the photographer trips (with excitement?) a few too many times while trying to capture the special moment.
The Citizen reported that the event took place on a South African beach.
Watch for the first trip, which comes in around the 30-second mark:
It does sound like the photographer was exclaiming in Afrikaans: “nee god, ek gly hier“, or something to that effect.
I can’t decide if my favourite part is that she remains committed to carrying on videoing/photographing despite the numerous tumbles (eventually just resigning to her position on the ground), or that the couple is so wrapped in their bubble of bliss that they hardly acknowledge the palaver beside them.
The video has in excess of 300 000 views on Facebook, and loads of comments from people finding immense joy from the moment:
“I just love the fact that she never stopped taking the video. That’s the quality of being loyal.” – Euchracia Lebogang
“We all need to see the falling lady’s footage! Her view. She never stopped filming. Priceless! A day they will never forget” – Sandra Gundlach
Part two, but from the perspective of the falling photographer, would be absolutely welcome.
Hey, look what we found:
According to East Coast Radio, the woman filming is Celine Edwards, and it’s her sister who was getting engaged.
The weirdest part, though, has got to be the fact that someone else managed to get the whole thing on video, from the moment they walked onto the beach, as if they knew something was about to go down.
