They have an Instagram account, they have a Twitter account, and now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a YouTube channel, too.
The Queen beat them to it, though, with her own YouTube channel released in 2007 to promote the British monarchy, and featuring many videos that include Prince William and Kate doing their thing.
Now the Cambridges are spreading their own wings on the platform, but it probably won’t be anything like the breakaway that Prince Harry and Meghan made.
The first scene of the video shows Prince William making a cheeky remark that Kate should “be careful what you say now because these guys are filming everything” while he points to the camera.
“I know,” Kate replies, as the 25-second video shoots through footage of them taking part in many a royal activity.
If you’re interested in the channel to see more royal slip-ups, you’re probably watching the wrong couple, as Prince William’s little forwarning suggests it’s better to expect highly curated content in the videos to come.
The Guardian gives us more information about the clip’s background:
It also shows a laughing Kate shearing sheep during a visit to a Lake District farm, William sitting with Sir David Attenborough to promote the duke’s Earthshot environment prize, and the couple admiring billboards showcasing Kate’s Hold Still photographic project.
In one clip, an outtake from this year’s St Patrick’s Day video, Kate tells William: “You don’t need to roll your Rs.”
And now for the actual video:
A clip shared in celebration of their 10th wedding anniversary, released last week on Twitter, may provide some insight into what we can expect for upcoming videos on the YouTube channel.
The couple released a professionally shot video that gave an intimate portrait of their family life, playing with their children in sand dunes on a nearby beach and toasting marshmallows around a campfire:
Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C

Royal fans will see whether the new YouTube channel will provide even more family-focused content, or stick to professional royal footage.
