A pilot made waves with his emergency crash landing at the Cocoa Beach Air Show in Florida this past Saturday.
The pilot registered mechanical issues while flying the TBM Avenger plane in the Warbird Parade and was able to bring it down safely with no injuries to anyone involved.
The people watching from the beach got a bonus lesson on how to crash land a plane, though.
The video shows the plane slowing down as it flies close to the surface of the water, before the front propeller comes to a stop and it skids across the surface:
With the incredible foresight and skills of the pilot, the landing was as smooth and “soft” as possible.
The pilot even declined medical treatment when emergency services came to help, according to The Independent.
What a smooth guy.
People immediately began to jump in the water and crowd the plane. pic.twitter.com/jWrcyCVezc

So in case you ever need to, make sure you crash land as close to the shoreline as possible, where there is less chance of drowning, or on the sand at the shoreline if there is a beach long enough and no people around.
