Tonight, at 7PM, President Ramaphosa will deliver his state of the nation address…

We’ve become accustomed to waiting until 8PM, often with a sense of dread, for President Ramaphosa’s so-called ‘family meetings’.

You can rest easy in the fact that during tonight’s state of the nation address, the president won’t be banning the sale of alcohol, or outlawing a lazy day on the beach, but he will be addressing a number of key issues.

We have already covered what to expect from his SONA speech, if you feel like some light reading to get you in the mood.

There will be no joy for those who look forward to brawling and other such antics, as the EFF will not be in attendance, and the red carpet spectacle has also largely been done away with.
