Cape Town Metro Police were involved in a chase through the Montague Gardens / Parklands / Milnerton area, although they didn’t nab the suspect (or suspects) they were after.
There isn’t a great deal of information available at present, with Intelligence Bureau SA’s Facebook page saying the chase occurred yesterday.
Here are the basics, as laid out by Intelligence Bureau SA:
Suspect failed to stop for CPT Metro Officials in a fully branded vehicle yesterday, the suspects was blocked in by the officials but the suspect than drove into the state vehicle.
Officers demanded that the suspect stops immediately after crashing to the state vehicle but refused & drove off, several gun shots were fired by the officers while the suspect fled.
A short chase ensued and the suspect drove into a underground parking area (doors were closed). Suspect managed to flee, vehicle recovered.
The suspects apartment was searched & drugs were found.
To start, here’s footage showing one officer firing into the car’s tyre, which you can see around the one-minute mark:

This was filmed from a MyCiti Bus, and shows the exchange from a different angle:
