Can we take a moment to talk about this heat?
I’m writing this with a fan pointed directly at my face and it still isn’t enough.
Lockdown restrictions mean that we can’t hit the beach, so we’re going to have to get creative when it comes to cooling down.
I’ve found that an icy drink does the trick, enjoyed from one’s yard or balcony, and if you’re smart, you make it do double duty by choosing one that will also give your immune system a boost.
So set aside the fizzy, caffeine, and sugar-infused energy drink options, and go for something fresh.
Here at 2oceansvibe, we recently discovered Sir Fruit’s Gingerade+.
The masterminds over at Sir Fruit decided to blend ginger with lemon and apple juices to create the perfect flavour balance. To really kick it up a notch, they also incorporated vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, and E into the recipe to keep you in top form.
The best part is that you can order it online and have it delivered to your door. Moving around too much only makes you hotter, so best sit still and wait for it to arrive.
Even better – Sir Fruit is giving 10 lucky folks the chance to win a month’s supply of Gingerade+.

I had six in my fridge over the holidays, and they didn’t stay there long, so a month’s supply would have been ideal.
If you want to enter, follow these simple instructions:
Competition closes Tuesday, January 26, at 9AM, so you might want to click that follow button and start tagging.
Note that winners will only be chosen from Cape Town, Joburg, Durban, and surrounds.
I recommend popping a couple of ice blocks into your Gingerade+, or adding a naughty shot of gin for when you transition from your morning ginger kick with breakfast to sundowners in the evening.
While you wait to find out if you’re a winner, head on over to the Sir Fruit website and take a look around. There’s a lot more to love.
Stay cool out there.
