The truth is out there (cue The X-Files music), and we should know it in less than six months.

Videos shot by members of the US Navy have been in the public domain for a while now, and have been discussed at length, but now there’s another twist.

Last month, President Donald Trump signed the COVID-19 relief bill, which committed the country to a $2,3 trillion aid package.

Included in that 5 600 page bill is a law requiring that US intelligence services submit an unclassified report on UFOs to the Senate intelligence committee within 180 days.

In short, in less than six months, there is going to be plenty of light shed on some mysteries from years gone by.

The report must include “a detailed analysis of unidentified aerial phenomena data and intelligence reporting collected or held” by almost all of the country’s intelligence agencies.

It must also include: “Identification of any incidents or patterns that indicate a potential adversary may have achieved breakthrough aerospace capabilities that could put United States strategic or conventional forces at risk.”

The report will be unclassified, although there is a provision for a classified annex.

At this stage, the Pentagon’s interest in investigating these UFOs is obvious, and it goes back a number of years.

…it’s not the first time the Pentagon has looked into aerial encounters with unknown objects. The Pentagon previously studied recordings of such incidents as part of a since-shuttered classified program launched at the behest of former Sen. Harry Reid.

That program was launched in 2007 and ended in 2012, according to the Pentagon, because they assessed that there were higher priorities that needed funding.

The former head of the program Luis Elizondo told CNN in 2017 that he personally believes “there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone.”

To use a joke that has been used to death in 2020, any visitor from another planet would surely touch down on Earth, take one look around, and beat a hasty retreat.
