On Tuesday, November 24, the 53rd annual Grammy Awards nominations were announced.
There was some controversy, with three artists in particular – Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, and Justin Bieber – taking to social media to voice their discontent.
Their anger and disappointment was genuine, which is somewhat different from the approach taken by The Killers.
That’s right, the guys behind ‘Mr. Brightside‘, who are giving off some serious Bee Gees vibes in that picture up top.
The band has previously taken aim at Donald Trump, the current US president, most notably with their 2019 protest song, ‘Land of the Free’.
This time around, an unmistakeably whiny all-caps tweet was all that was needed:
OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTING ROOMS. WE WON THE GRAMMYS, GOT LOADS OF LEGAL VOTES. BAD THINGS HAPPENED WHICH OUR OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. DOZENS OF BALLOTS WERE SENT TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER ASKED FOR THEM! #RIGGEDGRAMMYS #WEWON

SAD!
One response, featuring Rudy ‘the Sweatbox’ Giuliani, is worth a quick look:

Shem.
Imagine the Four Seasons Total Landscaping fiasco being topped in the embarrassment stakes within the same month?
Trump was also trolled on social media for his tiny desk Thanksgiving press conference last week. You can see those memes here.
