Today, the alleged ‘Table Mountain killer’, Blessing Bveni, is back in court.
He is facing charges that include murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Bveni’s defence lawyer, Henk Carstens, requested yet another postponement in court today, but judge Judith Cloete ruled against it.
It’s alleged that between October 2017 and March 2018, Bveni carried out at least five attacks on the fringes of Table Mountain National Park, focused largely on trails above Kalk Bay, and is responsible for the murders of Doug Notten and Ian McPherson.
