Nothing Beats These Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards Finalists

Nature can often be brutal but does, at times, provide moments that help lighten the mood, especially on a Monday.

If you’re looking to take the edge off this very unwelcome Monday, you’ve come to the right place.

There’s nothing quite like nature at its finest, showing off its silly side to lighten the mood.

The finalists in the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2020 have captured some stunning and extremely amusing moments in the wild, all of which promise to make the judges’ decision a tough one this year.

The photo above was snapped by Sally Lloyd Jones of a kingfisher in Kirkcudbright, Scotland, that couldn’t care less about the rules.

We could all learn something from that bird.

It’s not all fun and games, though. There is a serious side to the competition.

Here’s the BBC:

In addition to providing some light-hearted relief, the competition aims to highlight the extremely important message of wildlife conservation in an engaging and positive way, working with competition partner The Born Free Foundation.

Comedy for conservation? I’m in.

Have a chuckle:

The party version of me in my early 20s can really relate to the last one.

The turtle flipping the bird is also a winner.

The actual winners will be announced at an online awards ceremony on October 22.
