What Rose really said – “I’m flying”, whilst Céline Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ played in the background.
What she didn’t say – “All that glitters is gold”, from Smash Mouth’s ‘All Star’.
For that, we should be thankful. I’m not sure the scene would have hit as hard.
(Yes, ‘All Star’ was only released in 1999, but don’t ruin the vibe.)
Today’s deepfake video – slightly less creepy than others we have featured before – comes via YouTuber ontyj, also known as Jonty Pressinger.
Mashable below:
Ontyj wrote in the video description that they “got carried away” using the neural network Wav2Lip and “now this exists.” Indeed it does. And it’s not bad!
Did I know that I wanted to see Regina George sing Smash Mouth? Absolutely not. But you know what? It was kind of cool. And half soothing? I can’t explain it.
A warning that there is a good chance the song will bet stuck in your head after watching this video.
Have yourself a lovely weekend!
