Sadly, we’ve grown used to gang-related hits in Cape Town, and even attempts on the lives of criminal attorneys like William Booth and Jakes van der Merwe.
Just this week, news broke alleging that Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe had attempted to orchestrate a hit on Western Cape Deputy Judge President Patricia Goliath.
At times, it’s like living in the Wild West.
There are some things that you just don’t expect to see in Gordon’s Bay, though, like a broad daylight hit on one of the main streets running through the town.
In CCTV footage showing the outside area of Talla’s Tavern on Beach Road, a man can be seen getting off a motorbike, and walking across the road.
He can then be seen pulling out a gun and aiming it at a man, who then falls to the ground.
The CCTV footage below:
Complete and total lawlessness.
