Usually, I would poke fun at Kanye West, because he really does make it too easy.
At present, though, he appears to be in the midst of a rather troubling episode, due in part to his bipolar disorder.
Last month, following a string of strange tweets and worrying behaviour, his wife, Kim Kardashian West, went as far as to ask the public to show compassion and empathy towards her husband.
At the same time, Kanye is having regular chats with Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, with those close to the musician saying the White House is trying to exploit his mental state for personal gain.
More on that here – these are strange times we are living through.
Back to this week, and on Tuesday, Kanye tweeted a “Kanye 2020 Vision” campaign poster, which featured Kirsten Dunst.
This one:

Just the one problem, Kanye. In reply to the tweet, Dunst made it clear that she wasn’t exactly on board:
A rep for Dunst then went on the record to confirm that she had not agreed to the use of her image.
Also featured was Anna Wintour, with the LA Times reporting that she was similarly taken aback.
Dunst’s photo came from a 2002 Vanity Fair profile, whilst Wintour’s photo is one of the top Google search results for “Anna Wintour laughing”.
If you have the energy, scrolling through Kanye’s tweets really is something. Here are two recent efforts that caught my attention:
A VISION JUST CAME TO ME… JESUS TOK I WAS WATCHING TIK TOK WITH MY DAUGHTER AND AS A CHRISTIAN FATHER I WAS DISTURBED BY A LOT OF THE CONTENT BUT I COMPLETELY LOVED THE TECHNOLOGY

WE PRAY WE CAN COLLABORATE WITH TIK TOK TO MAKE A CHRISTIAN MONITORED VERSION THAT FEELS SAFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE WORLD IN JESUS NAME AMEN

Same ALL CAPS energy as Donnie railing against Barack Obama’s recent speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Here’s hoping Kanye gets the help he needs.
