I’m not a ‘member’ of many loyalty programs. I’m still wondering what the whole Woolies MySchool thing is all about. Do I just keep swiping? Until when? Who’s in charge of the points? And yes, packets please – I left my bags at home.
The shame. Thank goodness I’m wearing a mask.
One loyalty program anyone would be a fool not to sign up to is surely the Anthonij Rupert Wyne offerings? With 10% off virtually anything, I’d deem it mildly crass not to sign up – given the state of the economy.
So with Cyril’s glad tidings over the weekend, I popped over to the Rupert Wines online shop and noticed the latest vintage (2016) of my beloved Optima was available. And for the next two weeks, this will be the only place to get it.
For R183, I might add. That’s like a packet of cashew nuts (or mango strips) at Woolies. Both yummy – sure – but the total enjoyment cannot be compared.
I ordered a whole bunch of that, then some Jean Roi rosé, and a healthy supply of various Protea reds, rosé, and whites (at R58 a bottle for members!) to fill the cellar. Not getting caught with my pants down again.
I see they’ve also got some nice hampers available. Check out their ‘Reds for every occasion’ hamper.
For those who fancy a little Italian, this ‘Survival Box’ should hit the spot, and also makes for a great gift.
The beauty of the Rupert Wines membership is that you need to spend R1 000 to join. And guess what? A case of Optima comes in at R1 098. Free delivery.
You’re welcome.
