It’s already been a helluva week, so let’s pivot to something that South Africans can actually smile about.
Whilst animation studio Triggerfish was nominated in the Best Animated Short Film category for the 90th Academy Awards, they have since gone one better and won a much-coveted Emmy.
That was for the film Zog, which features the dragons you see above, released by UK-based production company Magic Light Pictures and animated by Triggerfish.
That’s all the more impressive when you consider some of the struggles they’ve faced over the years, and the long and bumpy road its taken to get to this point.
